Ben is such a perfectionist! He put in a new deck for me and it is absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks to the team for making my deck designs come to life. My decks were finished before the scheduled start date. Thank you Ben for squeezing me in between other jobs. Ben consulted me each time there was a decision to be made to make sure I agreed with his plan and when I didn’t agree he came up with a different idea. That made it what I truly wanted it to look like.

We had a great experience with Ben during two remodels due to insurance claim repairs following water damage. Communication was great, he was always willing to share ideas and go above and beyond to make the most of our house remodels. Everything was finished and clean. Ben was site manager for construction repair of my kitchen due to a pipe leak. He is excellent in the following qualities: Trustworthy, timely, qualified, great communication, conscientious, and definitely capable for any construction site needs. He proved to be very professional and I felt listened to and kept up to date on the work he did, especially during the time of the pandemic that was very taxing due to the moving parts of supply chain problems. He never became frustrated by difficulty with receiving his needed materials and instead did his best workarounds and instilled my confidence in him. If he could do such a job as he did with the many supply difficulties, then I would not hesitate to highly recommend Ben to anyone needing help with any construction they might need. As bonus, he is also a great guy to have on site, very likeable and kind! If there were any concerns I would mention them here, but none appeared. You will be happy with your choice if Ben is chosen for your remodeling and/or repairs too.

Ben did an awesome job on our kitchen remodel. He is very detailed and meticulous and the workmanship was really high quality. communication was smooth and he very friendly. Ben installed new cabinets and hexagon marble backsplash for our kitchen. Highly recommended!

Ben was the site supervisor, project manager, and everything in between for our extensive basement and kitchen remodel. I cannot say enough positive things about Ben. He is a true professional and a problem solver that always comes with creative ideas and workarounds. I can't recommend him enough!

I hired Ben and his company to fix my second-story deck, and what stands out to me the most is Ben and the outstanding men who work for him. First, the General Contractor, Ben, was involved in every aspect of the job and kept me abreast of the job while also recommending areas of importance. His expertise was invaluable as a lot of his initial concerns on the deck have been shown to be true. Both Ben and his men's enthusiasm and love for their job were evident every day by how they explained what they were doing and the importance of why they were doing it a certain way. They were focused on doing the best job possible. Their work ethic is a reflection of their boss, Ben. When Ben first came out of my home, he immediately noted the wood rot on my deck and made it clear he couldn't determine the extent of the wood rot until they started to remove a couple of deck boards to install flashing. He also voiced his concerns about how the deck was originally waterproofed and stated how he believes decks such as mine should be done, and explained why. He also made some key recommendations to improve the safety of the deck and to make it more efficient, such as: 1. He noted the railings of the deck were a safety concern due to the wood rot and how it was installed. 2. He noted how he could divert water to our gutter system in an area where water falls freely, which adds to the flooding we get during heavy rain beneath the deck. 3. Because of the flooding we get during heavy rain, Ben extended a portion of my deck by a foot so it overlaps our lower deck, which is built on our downward-sloping backyard. 4. He recommended sidings to be used underneath the deck to hide the joists. 5. He recommended that before he installs the siding, he drill holes for lighting if I wanted to add lighting. I would've never have thought of these recommendations and am so thankful Ben did. Other contractors I hired charged more than Ben, and their workmanship was nowhere near the quality of Ben's...plus, they did not offer me any recommendations...Ben truly... I mean, they truly wanted to help me. It was like he was doing this project for his own house with the safety of his own family in mind. Ben's recommendations totally changed the look and functionality of my home while also immediately increasing its value of my home. Ben basically renewed my faith that there are good contractors out there where you don't have to pay an arm and a leg...I got extremely lucky when I found Ben and his outstanding workers. We hired Ben Kahiona to remodel our master bedroom and closet. From the onset, Ben handled the project professionally and meticulously. He presented us with a detailed contract outlining what materials would be used, the costs, and a proposed timeline. He also produced a computerized 3D rendering of the project, which really helped up visualized the finished product. He hired the right individuals with the ability and skills to perform each task and provided detailed instructions to get the job done efficiently. There were a few challenges, but Ben found a creative way to solve them with minimal cost to us. Ben worked wit hus hand in hand with us in all aspects of the plan and kept us informed throughout the process. Ben's management & problem-solving skills, his attention to detail, and his ability to motivate his crew are a reflection of an effective leader. I am pleased to have the opportunity to write on behalf of Benjamin Kahiona and give my recommendation for him. It was exactly the right time when I met Ben. My long-term tenant had just vacated my rental property, and upon inspection, it was unfortunate to discover the property had unexpected damages & extreme neglect from the tenant; not to mention simply outdated. Therefore, the dire need of a complete remodel before the capability to successfully list my 1 bedroom/1 bath town home again was required. Ben listened and understood what I wanted to achieve, and he was very thorough with his plans and intent for the remodel. Everything was done in a timely manner, and I was kept informed regularly of each phase of the remodel. I appreciated this aspect since my employment in law enforcement did not always allow me the availability to be present at the rental - thus I developed great trust in Ben. We recently remodeled our basement, and Ben was the supervisor and managed the project. We were very grateful to have him on the job. We appreciated his calm demeanor throughout the entire project. Ben thinks outside the box and provided several good suggestions regarding changes to the original scope of what we'd planned that greatly improved the overall look of the basement. He would clearly explain any workarounds or changes, what that entailed, and was generally a solid voice of reason. I don't write many reviews, so when I do, it is normally because I want to acknowledge good work, and that is why! Write this one. Ben had been recommended to us by another owner in our building, and we saw the good work that Ben had done for him. Our kitchen remodel presented different challenges, but Ben was able to navigate those with seeming ease. He has the experience and talent to perform the job right and deliver a quality finished product. He did such a good job patching and matching the ceiling and floor that I can't even tell where the removed wall used to be, let alone the relocation of the plumbing and electrical lines. At all times, we were informed of the progress while we were away, and upon our return, he always kept us aware of what needed to be done and when. And his subcontractors were always courteous and equally talented. Finally, and this is big, his attention to detail to reach completion was everything I would want and expect. I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning to remodel or have other work done to their home.
